Slovak meat consumption is expected to hit 349,000 metric tons by 2028, rising from 332,000 metric tons in 2023. This represents an average annual growth rate of 0.8%. Since 2019, the country's meat demand has seen a yearly increase of 1.2%. However, Slovak meat production is on a downward trend, projected to decline to 121,060 metric tons by 2028 from 137,870 metric tons in 2023. This indicates an average annual decrease of 2.1%. Since 1998, the country's meat supply has diminished by 2% per year.
