Ethiopian demand for whisky is expected to grow steadily over the next five years. By 2026, the import value will reach $34.3 million, up 3.1% year on year on average from 2021. Since 2000, demand has risen by an average of 7.7% year on year. Meanwhile, Ethiopian whisky exports have also seen an increase since 2014, with a 143.7% year on year increase. Last year, the country was ranked 99th in this regard, overtaken by Benin at $2,920. The United States, Singapore and Ireland took the top three spots, respectively.
