Austrian whisky import and export is set to increase in the next five years. Imports are forecasted to rise to $53 million by 2026, an increase of 2.2% year on year. In 1999, imports jumped by 4.1%. Exports are expected to reach $24 million, a 3.5% year on year increase. Since 1999, exports have increased by 5.4%. In 2021, Austria was ranked 22nd in whisky imports, with South Africa overtaking them at $19 million. The US, Singapore and Ireland followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
