Malaysia’s whisky import and export figures are set to rise over the next few years. According to estimates, imports are predicted to reach over $226 million by 2026, a 2.5% year-on-year increase from $195 million in 2021. This growth trend has been consistent since 1994, with an average annual growth rate of 7%. Exports are expected to reach $127 million by 2026, a 2.5% year-on-year increase from $110 million in 2021. The country was ranked 15th in 2021, with Belgium overtaking it at $110 million. The United States, Singapore and Ireland followed, coming in at numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
