The market for Thai whisky is forecast to decrease by 0.7% annually over the next five years, from 2021 to 2026. This follows a 2.4% decrease in demand since 1993. Meanwhile, Thai whisky exports are projected to rise by an average of 2.7% each year over the same period, after a 4.4% increase in supply since 1994. The country was the 16th-largest exporter of whisky in 2021, with Malaysia overtaking to take the lead with $97.3 million. The United States, Singapore and Ireland came in at second, third and fourth place in the ranking, respectively.
