Vietnam is poised to become one of the world’s leading poultry meat producers in the next five years. Production is expected to reach 1.1 million metric tons by 2026, representing a 1.3% annual growth rate from 2021. In 2021, the country ranked 29th in total production, with 980 thousand metric tons, slightly overtaking the Netherlands. China, Brazil, and Russia were the top three producers in that same year. Similarly, Vietnam's poultry meat consumption is projected to reach 1.6 million metric tons by 2026, with an average yearly growth rate of 0.7%. In 2021, the country ranked 16th in total consumption, with 1.54 million metric tons, overtaking Canada. The United States, Brazil, and Russia were the top three consumers in that year.
