Global poultry meat production is expected to reach 133 million metric tons by 2026, up from 128 million metric tons in 2021. The United States was the top producer in 2021, with 23 million metric tons, followed by China, Brazil, and Russia. Since 2017, production has grown by 0.6% each year on average. Kyrgyzstan saw the strongest growth of 4%, while Uruguay fell by 11.7%. Global consumption of poultry meat is also forecast to reach 121 million metric tons in 2026, up from 117 million metric tons in 2021. China led the consumption rankings in 2021, with 20.9 million metric tons, followed by the United States, Brazil, and Russia. Demand has grown by 0.5% each year since 2017. Iraq saw the biggest increase at 7.6%, while Venezuela fell by 17.2%.
