Mauritian candy exports dropped 23.4% in 2021 compared to 2020, with 63,490 kilograms. This marks a 25.1% decrease since 1998. Luxembourg overtook Mauritius as number 98, while China, Mexico and Belgium held the top three spots. Mauritian candy imports are expected to reach 1.9 million kilograms by 2026, a 0.5% increase on the 2021 figure of 1.8 million. Since 1998, demand has risen 0.6% year on year. Togo edged ahead of Mauritius, with the UK, Germany and the Netherlands following close behind.
