Colombian candy exports are forecast to dip slightly in the coming years, from 77 million kilograms in 2021 to 75 million kilograms by 2026. This would be a decrease of 0.4% each year on average, compared to a 1.5% annual growth rate since 1996. Colombia currently ranks 13th in the world for exports, with Russia ahead of them at 77 million kilograms. China, Mexico and Belgium take the top three spots in the export rankings. On the other hand, Colombian candy imports are expected to increase in the coming years, from just under 10 million kilograms in 2021 to 12 million kilograms by 2026. This would be a growth of 3.2% each year on average, compared to a 6.1% annual growth rate since 1996. Colombia currently stands at 61st in the world for imports, the Dominican Republic ahead of them at 9.7 million kilograms. The UK, Germany and the Netherlands take the top three spots in the import rankings.
