Since 2001, Senegalese exports have grown at a rate of 22.1% each year. In 2021, the country placed 60th in global exports, behind Niger's 3.9 million kilograms. China, Mexico, and Belgium ranked second, third, and fourth, respectively. Senegalese candy imports, meanwhile, are expected to fall to 1.1 million kilograms by 2026, down from 1.6 million kilograms in 2021. This would represent a 6.3% year-on-year decline. Since 2001, Senegalese imports have dropped by 14.1% annually. In 2021, the country ranked 110th in global imports, behind Egypt's 1.6 million kilograms. The UK, Germany, and the Netherlands placed second, third, and fourth, respectively.
