Candy import and export in New Zealand is set to grow over the next five years. Imports are predicted to reach 16 million kilograms by 2026, a 1% year-on-year increase from 2021's figure of 15.4 million kilograms. Since 1994, New Zealand demand for candy has risen by 2.4% year-on-year, placing them 40th in 2021, behind Israel. The United Kingdom, Germany, and the Netherlands followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively. Exports are forecast to reach 11.6 million kilograms by 2026, a 0.7% year-on-year increase from 2021's 11.2 million kilograms. Since 1994, New Zealand's supply of candy has increased by 2.2% year-on-year, ranking 43rd in 2021, behind Japan. China, Mexico, and Belgium were the next highest, coming in 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
