In 2021, Burmese imports ranked 96th in the world, behind Mauritania at 2.8 million kilograms. The United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands were the top three importers. Burmese candy exports, however, plummeted by 97.6% to 881 kilograms in 2018, from 36,140 kilograms in 2017. That placed Burmese exports at 127th in the world, far behind the United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands.
