Hungary is set to see a steady increase in its import and export of chocolate over the next five years. In 2021, the country came in 25th in the world for chocolate imports, with Slovakia narrowly ahead of them. On the export side, Hungary came in 24th in 2021 with Australia just ahead of them. Since 1997, Hungarian demand for chocolate has grown 6.3% year on year and supply has risen 3.4% year on year. By 2026, the country is expected to import $354 million worth of chocolate and export $234 million worth. Germany, France, the United Kingdom and Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands respectively ranked 2, 3 and 4 in terms of imports and exports.
