Thai imports and exports of chocolate are set to rise in the coming years. In 2021, Thailand's chocolate imports reached $162.99 million, up 2.8% from the previous year. The country was ranked 39th in the world, with Malaysia overtaking them at $162.99 million. Germany, France and the United Kingdom were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Meanwhile, Thai chocolate exports totalled $57.08 million in 2021, a 3.3% increase from the previous year. The country was ranked 46th in the world, with Colombia overtaking them at $57.08 million. Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. By 2026, Thailand's chocolate imports are expected to reach $192.54 million, while exports are expected to reach $69.43 million. Since 1993, Thai demand for chocolate increased by 4.4% a year, while supply grew 11% a year since 1994.
