Sugar consumption is on the decline, with a 0.4% year on year CAGR. France, Italy and Poland were the second, third and fourth-largest consumers in 2020, respectively. Meanwhile, Poland is set to see an increase in sugar production. In 2021, the country ranked 14th in sugar production, with 2,943,500 metric tons. Egypt produced the most, with 2,688,900 metric tons. Brazil, Thailand and China were the second, third and fourth-largest producers, respectively. Since 1966, Polish sugar production has grown 3.5% year on year.
