India is set to produce 36.9 million metric tons of sugar by 2026, according to figures released today. This is an increase of 1.7% annually compared to the 33.5 million metric tons produced in 2021. Since 1966, Indian sugar production has grown by an average of 4.1% each year. Brazil, Thailand and China follow India in the production rankings.
