Sierra Leone's sugarcane production is expected to climb to about 83,000 metric tons by 2026, according to an annual report. The report found that since 1986, the country has seen a steady 0.6% annual growth in production. In 2021, Sierra Leone ranked 76th in the world for sugarcane production at 80,310 metric tons. Rwanda overtook the country to take the 75th spot with 80,310 metric tons. India, Thailand and China were the top three producers, respectively.
