Barbadian sugarcane production fell by 15% in 2021, down to about 64,000 metric tons from 75,000 the year before. This is the lowest it's been since 1966, when the country ranked 77th in the world in terms of output. Sierra Leone was ahead of Barbados, with 64,000 metric tons. India, Thailand, and China held the top three spots, respectively.
