Angolan sugarcane production is expected to reach more than 760,000 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, the country produced 683,210 metric tons of sugarcane, a 5.8 percent increase since 1966. Jamaica was the top producer in 2021, with 683,210 metric tons, followed by India, Thailand and China. Angola was number 58 in the rankings. The production is expected to grow by 1.9 percent annually by 2026.
