In 2021, Sri Lanka ranked 14th, while Myanmar topped the list with 155,000 metric tons. Brazil, Thailand, and Egypt followed as numbers 2, 3, and 4, respectively. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's sugarcane production is predicted to fall 2.7% to 519,750 metric tons by 2026. Since 1966, supply has gone down 5.6% year on year. In 2021, the country ranked 59th, with Angola at the top with 609,800 metric tons. India, Thailand, and China held positions 2, 3, and 4, respectively.
