Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's sugarcane production is predicted to fall 2.7% to 519,750 metric tons by 2026. Since 1966, supply has gone down 5.6% year on year. In 2021, the country ranked 59th, with Angola at the top with 609,800 metric tons. India, Thailand, and China held positions 2, 3, and 4, respectively.
