Consumption of olives in Egypt is set to rise to 942,000 metric tons by 2026. This is up from 836,000 metric tons in 2021, an increase of 1.9% annually. Since 2017, Egyptian demand has grown by 2.8% each year. Italy, the United States and Greece were the next highest consumers. Egyptian olive production is expected to reach 1.4 million metric tons by 2026, compared to 1.2 million metric tons in 2021. This is an annual growth rate of 2.7%. Since 1966, supply has increased 6.4% annually. In 2021, Egypt was fourth in the ranking, with Greece overtaking them at 1.2 million metric tons. Italy, Morocco and Greece were the next highest producers.
