This number has stayed the same since 2017, with the country ranking 32nd in 2021. Israel was the top consumer with 9 thousand metric tons, followed by Italy, the United States, and Greece. Tunisian olive production is expected to fall by 0.2% year on year, reaching 825,850 metric tons by 2026. This is a slight increase since 1966, which saw a 3.6% year on year increase. Algeria overtook Tunisia in 2021 as the 8th largest producer. Italy, Morocco, and Greece followed as the top three producers.
