Lebanon is set to consume about 17,000 metric tons of olives by 2026, down 3.2% from 2021. Since 2017, demand for Lebanese olives has decreased by 1.6% year-on-year. Portugal has overtaken Lebanon in 2021, with 20,000 metric tons. Italy, the United States, and Greece rounded out the top four. Meanwhile, Lebanon is set to produce 149,710 metric tons of olives by 2026, up 0.8% from 2021. Since 1966, supply of Lebanese olives has decreased by 1.9% year-on-year. Peru has surpassed Lebanon in 2021 with 143,570 metric tons. Italy, Morocco, and Greece were the top three producers.
