The country's production of olives is expected to reach 839,040 metric tons over the next five years, representing a modest 0.6% average annual growth since 1966. In 2021, Syria ranked ninth in global olive production with 811,300 metric tons, while Tunisia topped the list with 811,300 metric tons. Italy, Morocco and Greece followed, occupying the second, third and fourth spots, respectively.
