Britain is set to become one of the world's biggest consumers of soybean oil by 2026, according to new projections. Demand for the product is expected to hit 223,000 metric tons, up from 205,000 in 2021 – an average growth rate of 1.3 percent year-on-year. This follows an increase since 2017 of 0.8 percent year-on-year. China, India, and Brazil are the other top three countries in terms of soybean oil consumption, respectively. Meanwhile, British soybean oil production increased from 122,200 metric tons in 2013 to 129,400 metric tons in 2014.
