Chinese pear production is set to reach a record 18.5 million metric tons by 2026, according to a new report. The figure represents an annual growth rate of 1.1% from 2021, when Chinese production of the fruit was 17.4 million metric tons. Since 1966, Chinese pear production has grown 1.6% year-on-year. The United States, Argentina and Italy hold the next three spots in the ranking.
