In 2021, Tanzania was the 51st highest producer of lemon, with 10,790 metric tons produced. Japan overtook with 10,790 metric tons, followed by China, Mexico and Argentina. In 2018, Tanzanian lemon consumption was 10,000 metric tons, compared to the previous year.
