Guatemalan lemon consumption is expected to reach around 106,000 metric tons by 2026, according to the latest figures. This represents an increase of 0.1% year-on-year since 2021, when the figure was 105,000 metric tons. Since 2017, demand for lemons in Guatemala has grown by 1% year-on-year. Guatemalan lemon production is also set to reach 130,000 metric tons by 2026, an increase of 0.3% year-on-year since 2021, when it was 127,420 metric tons. Since 1985, supply of lemons in Guatemala has decreased by 1.3% year-on-year. In 2021, Guatemala was the seventeenth-largest producer of lemons, overtaken by Thailand which produced 127,420 metric tons. China, Mexico and Argentina were the second, third and fourth-largest producers respectively.
