Since 2017, the country's demand for lemons has remained unchanged. Meanwhile, lemon production in Zimbabwe is forecast to reach 19,000 metric tons by 2026, up from 17,890 metric tons in 2021. This marks an average annual growth rate of 0.9% since 1966. In 2021, Zimbabwe was ranked 44th in the world for lemon production, overtaken by Ecuador with 17,890 metric tons. China, Mexico, and Argentina were 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
