Morocco's lemon consumption is on the rise, set to reach 28,000 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, it was 25,000 metric tons, an increase of 2.1% year-on-year on average since 2017. Production of lemons in the country is also on the up, set to reach 55,000 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, it was 47,160 metric tons, an increase of 2.6% year-on-year on average since 1966. Morocco was ranked number 29 in 2021, with Taiwan taking the lead with 47,160 metric tons. China, Mexico and Argentina were in second, third and fourth place respectively.
