Azerbaijan is expected to see an increase in lemon consumption over the next five years. According to estimates, demand is set to reach 26,500 metric tons by 2026, a growth of 3.9% annually from 2021. Since 2017, Azerbaijani demand has increased at an average rate of 3.4% per year. Azerbaijan's lemon production is also estimated to rise in the coming years. Output is projected to reach 5,190 metric tons by 2026, up 1.0% annually from 2021. Since 1997, Azerbaijani supply has grown at a rate of 1.3% each year. In 2021, the country ranked 64th in the world, with the Democratic Republic of the Congo ahead at 4,900 metric tons. China, Mexico and Argentina followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
