Production of lemons in the UAE is expected to reach 4,000 metric tons by 2026, a slight drop of 2.7% compared to 2021. Since 1966, production has been decreasing at an average rate of 4.9% year-on-year. In 2021, the UAE was ranked 65th in the world for lemon production, behind Azerbaijan which produced 4,690 metric tons. China, Mexico and Argentina were ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
