Mango production in Sierra Leone is expected to increase significantly over the next five years. According to figures from 2021, 28,450 metric tons of mangoes are expected to be produced by 2026, growing at a rate of 1.6% year on year. This increase in production follows a steady growth since 1966, with a 2% year on year growth rate. In 2021, Sierra Leone was the 50th highest producing country, with El Salvador taking the lead at 25,850 metric tons. Indonesia, China and Mexico followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
