Indonesia's coconut imports are forecast to decline slightly by 0.5% year on year on average over the next five years, reaching 3.9 million metric tons in 2026. Since 2017, there has been a 1.4% year-on-year growth in demand. At the same time, the country's coconut production is expected to drop by just 0.1% year-on-year on average over the next five years, to reach nearly 17 million metric tons in 2026. Since 1966, however, output has decreased by 0.4% annually. India, the Philippines and Sri Lanka are the top three producers of coconut in the world, respectively.
