In 2021, Indonesia was the world's largest producer of coconut at 17.1 million metric tons. India, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka followed close behind, making up the top four producers. El Salvador saw the greatest year-on-year growth, rising 11.9%, while Sao Tomé and Principe saw the biggest decline at 27.1%.
