Consumption of bananas in Colombia is on track to reach 1.9 million metric tons by 2026, a 1% growth from 2021, when it was 1.74 million metric tons. Since 1966, the Colombian supply of bananas has decreased by 5.1% a year. In 2021, Colombia was in 10th place, with Tanzania coming in front at 2.85 million metric tons. China, Indonesia and Brazil were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
