Since 2017, Indian demand has grown by 0.1% annually. China, Indonesia, and Brazil are the biggest competitors in this market, respectively ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Production is also growing steadily, with 34 million metric tons of bananas forecast by 2026. This is a 1.2% increase year-on-year, since 1966. China, Indonesia and Brazil again take the top spots in this ranking.
