Serbian wine revenue is projected to reach approximately €80 million by 2028, up from around €71 million in 2023. This growth represents an average annual increase of 1.7%. Since 2019, the Serbian wine market has expanded by 14.7% annually. In 2023, Serbia ranked 14th globally, with Macedonia slightly ahead at €71 million. Italy, Spain, and Germany occupied the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively. In terms of wine consumption, Serbia is expected to see a decline. Consumption is forecasted to drop to about 18,460 metric tons by 2028, down from 31,000 metric tons in 2023, reflecting an annual decrease of 8.1%. Since 2019, demand in Serbia has fallen by 7.2% each year. In the 2023 ranking, Serbia stood at 47th, with Luxembourg surpassing it at 31,000 metric tons. France, the United States, and Italy ranked second, third, and fourth, respectively. Serbian wine production has also seen a decline. In 2018, production was recorded at 34,780 metric tons, down from 36,000 metric tons in 2017, marking a 3.4% decrease. Since 2011, the country's wine supply has decreased by 31.5% annually.
