Consumption of grapefruit in Bulgaria is set to remain at 10,000 metric tons by 2026. From 2017 to 2021, the demand for the citrus fruit decreased by three percent each year. In 2021, Bulgaria ranked 37th in the world in grapefruit consumption, falling behind Mozambique, which consumed 10,000 metric tons. Vietnam, the United States and Mexico were the top three grapefruit consumers in the world.
