Ecuador is set to produce 1.64 million metric tons of asparagus by 2026. That's an increase of 1.3% per year since 2021, when the country produced 1.53 million metric tons. Since 1995, Ecuadorian production has grown by 1.7% annually. In 2021, the country ranked 27th in the world, but New Zealand overtook it with 1.53 million metric tons. Peru, Mexico, and Germany respectively placed second, third, and fourth.
