Japan's asparagus production is set to drop slightly over the next five years, according to market reports. In 2021, the country produced roughly 26,000 metric tons, placing it ninth in global rankings. The United States led the way with the same amount, while Peru, Mexico and Germany filled out the top four. This marks a slight decrease from 1966, where the nation produced 2.5% less than today.
