Austrian asparagus production is expected to increase to nearly 4,000 metric tons by 2026. The rate of growth, 1.9% year-on-year, has been steady since 1966. In 2021, Austria was the 24th largest producer of asparagus, with 3,430 metric tons. The UK overtook it in the same year. Peru, Mexico and Germany were the top three producers, in that order.
