Hungary's asparagus production is on the rise. In 2021, it reached 6,450 metric tons - an increase of 1.2% on the previous year. Since 1966, the rate of growth has been 0.8% annually. In 2021, Hungary was the 20th largest producer of asparagus in the world. Bulgaria topped the list with 6,020 metric tons. Peru, Mexico and Germany came in second, third and fourth respectively.
