Iranian asparagus production is forecasted to rise 2.1% a year on average through 2026. This follows a 3.8% year-on-year increase since 1995. In 2021, Iran was the eighth largest producer of asparagus, with 27,070 metric tons. Japan was the top producer, followed by Peru, Mexico, and Germany.
