Uzbekistan is set to become the world's fifth-largest producer of cucumbers by 2026. According to figures from 2021, the country produced 933,470 metric tons of cucumbers, a slight decrease of 0.1% from the 1997 figure. Mexico ranked number one in 2021, producing 1 million metric tons, followed by Russia, Ukraine and Mexico in that order. Uzbek cucumber production is expected to reach 1.1 million metric tons by 2026, a growth of 2.3% year-on-year.
