Azerbaijan is set to become the 18th largest supplier of cucumbers in the world by 2026. Production is expected to increase from 252,390 metric tons in 2021 to nearly 276,000 metric tons over the next five years. This equates to an average growth rate of 1.5% year on year. Since 1997, cucumber production in Azerbaijan has grown steadily at a rate of 3% annually. In 2021, Germany overtook Azerbaijan, with 252,390 metric tons. Russia, Ukraine and Mexico followed in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place respectively.
