Colombia is set to see a steady increase in potatoes consumption and production over the next five years. In 2021, the country was the 28th largest consumer of potatoes, consuming 1,620 thousand metric tons. This figure is expected to rise 0.4% year on year until 2026. Meanwhile, Colombia has seen an average increase of 1.8% in production since 1966 and this is expected to continue, with 3,640,500 metric tons expected to be produced by 2026. India, the United States, Russia and Iran are the biggest consumers and producers of potatoes respectively.
