India, the United States and Russia followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, Peruvian potato production is projected to exceed 6 million metric tons by 2026. In 2021, the country was ranked 12th, with Belarus ahead at 5.5 million metric tons. India, Russia and Ukraine were the next three in line. Since 1966, Peru's potato production has grown at a rate of 4.1% annually.
