In 2021, the country ranked 63rd, behind Ireland, who consumed 321,000 metric tons. India, the United States, and Russia respectively took the top three spots in the ranking. Meanwhile, Tajikistan's potato production is expected to reach 1.1 million metric tons in 2026, a 1.6% increase year on year. This is a 2.6% increase since 1997. In 2021, Tajikistan was ranked 42nd, behind Malawi, who produced 1.0 million metric tons. India, Russia, and Ukraine took the top three spots in the ranking.
