Taiwanese potato consumption is expected to remain steady over the next five years, standing at 118 thousand metric tons by 2026. This level was also seen in 2021, when the country ranked 99th worldwide. Lesotho was the top consumer in 2021, with India, the United States and Russia following in second, third and fourth place respectively. Taiwanese potato production is predicted to grow at a rate of 1.1% year-on-year, reaching 68,170 metric tons by 2026. This growth has been seen since 1966, when supply rose by 2% annually. Slovenia was the biggest producer in 2021, with Taiwan in 110th place. India, Russia and Ukraine ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
